海外TECH	DEV Community	Complete CI/CD pipeline	https://dev.to/akshayca/complete-cicd-pipeline-lj4	Complete CI CD pipelineA CI CD pipeline is a series of steps that must be performed in order to deliver a new version of the software Continuous integration continuous delivery CI CD pipelines are a practice focused on improving software delivery using either a DevOps or site reliability engineering SRE approach I ve created a simple CI CD pipeline with GitHub for SCM Jenkins Docker Docker Hub AWS EC Instances AWS EKS service Let s begin Step Create an EC instance to run Jenkins I m going to create an AWS EC instance and install docker in it to run Jenkins It is best practice for a user to access Jenkins with limited permission so let s create a Jenkins user for this purpose Once this Jenkins container is up edit the inbound rules to expose port Let s finish up the initial settings You need to make the data persist even after you restart the server So stop the container re run docker the volume defined Next provide the required access to docker Login as root user So we now have Jenkins up and running Step Push your code to GitHub For this project we will use the Java Maven App with a Postgres database You can clone my project for your reference Repo LinkHere is the list of tasks that needs to be performed by Jenkins Build the solution and increment the version number Build the Docker Image using the Dockerfile and push the Image to the DockerHub Trigger the automation tests Deploy the App to a Ks cluster Commit version update to SCM Step Create a simple pipeline project in Jenkins Set GitHub hook trigger for GITScm pollingProvide the Git Repository URL and credentialsScript Path as Jenkinsfile Step Create Jenkins shared library Jenkins Shared Libraries are written in Groovy and allow you to create common sets of logic and share that among teams projects organizations I ve created one for this project Repo LinkUpdate your Jenkins file to read the shared library Increment version Build the Jar Build the Docker Image and Push it to the DockerHub Now if everything is configured properly whenever you push your code to the master Jenkins should trigger the pipeline and perform the below actions Clone the git repositoryIncrement the version numberBuild the Jar fileBuild Docker ImagePush the Image to Docker Hub Step Deploy to Ks clusterNow we are supposed to trigger the automation tests Once all the tests are passed and all the checklists are cleared we can deploy our App to the production Install Kubectl command line tool inside Jenkins container Install aws iam authenticator tool inside Jenkins container I ve create an EKS cluster called demo cluster Create Kubeconfig file to connect to EKS cluster contains all the necessary for authentication Add AWS credentials on Jenkins for AWS account authenticationAdjust Jenkinsfile to configure EKS cluster deployment The last thing which you need to do once the deployment is successful is to commit the version update to the code repository The pipeline is now complete Now let s run it Push some changes to the Master branch our pipeline will be triggered Check the logs Now let s connect to the EKS cluster from our local machine to verify Thank you Please comment for feedback Happy learning Overview of our CI CD pipeline	2022-02-24 18:50:16
海外TECH	DEV Community	polished 0.6.0 is now on CRAN!	https://dev.to/tychobra/polished-060-is-now-on-cran-359n	polished is now on CRAN The newest release of polished is now on CRAN The biggest user facing enhancement of this release is the new ability to secure R Markdown documents using Polished Auth The secured R Markdown output can be a static document or it can use the shiny runtime We discussed this capability in more detail in a previous post here Another welcome addition in this release is the ability to access each polished users data via the session user object By default polished now passes the signed in user s data to session user This won t break any of your existing polished Shiny apps as the signed in user s data will always still be available at session userData user as it has been in all previous polished releases Polished has historically stored the user s data at this session userData user location because that is where shiny recommends shiny developers and package authors store arbitrary user data However as long as you are not using an RStudio hosting option session user is usually unused and with polished you can now use it as an alias to session userData user If you need access to session user as set by RStudio Connect or another RStudio hosting option set the override user argument of polished config to FALSE The largest change in this release was an internal refactor of many of the objects and functions for managing Polished Auth We switched from using a single large R class to a base R environment and regular R functions rather than R methods This change was inspired by our development efforts on a new package polishedpayments polishedpayments makes it easy to add Stripe payments to your polished Shiny app polishedpayments sits between polished and your custom Shiny app It needs to intercept the polished user and handle the user based on your selected polished and polishedpayments options before passing the user along to your Shiny app In our earlier development of polishedpayments we were having difficulty integrating polishedpayments with polished After this refactor the integration is much more seamless We plan to continue development on other R packages that similarly provide middleware between the polished users and the your custom polished Shiny app We will share more details on polishedpayments and how you can write similar packages in upcoming blog posts In the meantime the source code for polishedpayments can be found here amp the development version of the package can be installed with remotes install github Tychobra polishedpayments There are several other minor updates in this polished release See the release notes for a full list of updates Please subscribe below if you d like to be notified when new blog posts are released As always please reach out if you have suggestions feedback or just want to get in touch	2022-02-24 18:14:59
