Adding tailwind typography plugin in RemixNow that we added some markdown files to our Remix website we saw the issue of the actual content not rendering the headings This is because Tailwind doesn t really know what to render this as Thus we can use the Tailwind Typography plugin to help with this issue Installing the Tailwind Typography plugin in RemixThe installation of this plugin is super straightforward as we simply have to install the dependency with NPM npm install D tailwindcss typographyOnce this is done we need to register it in our tailwind config file This file is located at the root of our project named tailwind config js Inside this file add the plugin module exports content app ts tsx jsx js theme extend plugins require tailwindcss typography We can add the prose class to any element we want to use this plugin on In our case let s add it to our root file so we can use it for our markdown files export default function App return lt html lang en className h full gt lt body className h full p prose gt lt Outlet gt lt body gt lt html gt Note the prose class on the body This is what will make it active If we now run our website and view a markdown rendered post we see it in action You can also find the completed code on GitHub Thank you for reading and let s connect Thank you for reading my blog Feel free to subscribe to my email newsletter and connect on Facebook or Twitter |

Texas law that allows users to sue social networks for censorship is now in effectThe th US Circuit Court of Appeals has paused the temporary injunction on controversial law HB which another court blocked from taking effect last year As Houston Public Media notes the state introduced HB last year after high profile conservatives including Donald Trump were blocked on social media websites Under the law users will be able to sue large social media platforms with more than million active monthly users such as Facebook and Twitter if they believe they were banned for their political views HB also prohibits social networks from removing or restricting content based on quot the viewpoint of the user or another person quot nbsp Trade industry groups NetChoice and the Computer and Communications Industry Association CCIA managed to secure an injunction against the law last year They argued that HB would lead to the spread of misinformation and hate speech on social networks and that it also violates the websites First Amendment rights The federal judge overseeing the case agreed that social networks have the right to moderate content under the First Amendment and also said that parts of the law are quot prohibitively vague quot In a hearing for the appeal filed by Texas the state s lawyers argued that social media platforms are quot modern day public squares quot That means they can be required to host content that they deem objectionable and are banned from censoring certain viewpoints The th Circuit judges sided with Texas with one even telling the trade groups during the hearing that social networks like Twitter are not websites but quot internet providers quot instead NetChoice counsel Chris Marchese called HB quot an assault on the First Amendment quot and quot constitutionally rotten from top to bottom quot on Twitter The trade groups plan to appeal immediately but for now HB is fully in effect nbsp As promised our full statement HB is an assault on the First Amendment and it s constitutionally rotten from top to bottom So of course we re going to appeal today s unprecedented unexplained and unfortunate order by a split panel pic twitter com UwdIVIHInーChris Marchese ChrisMarchese May A federal court blocked a similar law in Florida last year after the judge ruled that it violates Section of the Communications Decency Act that shields online platforms from liability for what their users post Florida also appealed that decision which will be decided by the th Circuit Court of Appeals |
