海外TECH DEV Community What Is Domain Authority And How To Make It Higher? https://dev.to/aradwan20/what-is-domain-authority-and-how-to-make-it-higher-413f What Is Domain Authority And How To Make It Higher What is DA And why is it important Domain Authority DA is a metric used to measure the authority of a website It is calculated using a number of factors including the high quality backlinks the age of reputable sites and the number of other websites that link to it While Page Authority measures how authoritative influential and trustworthy one specific webpage appears to Google This is based on the quality and quantity of inbound links to that webpage from other web pages In this article we will be focusing on how to increase your website s domain authority with a few simple strategies We ll cover SEO tools techniques and we ll give you some tips on how to build links naturally and boost your DA Let s start checking with your website s score domain authority checkerDA is one of the most important factors in determining the ranking of your content in search engine results Domain authority is a measure developed by Moz that predicts the number of links pointing to a domain and evaluates how authoritative those links are Moz s Domain Authority is a score on a to point scale that can tell you how well linked a specific website is The higher the number means the higher score and stronger the backlink profile of that site Don t forget about an important factor called the Anchor text Understand this to Improve your DA Anchor Text Anchor text is the visible clickable text of a hyperlink It appears in a different color than the surrounding text and can be distinguished because it is sometimes underlined When you hover over a link with the mouse the text that pops up is typically called the link text This is generally meant to give visitors an idea of what they ll find if they click on it Anchor text is an essential component of backlinks Backlinks A backlink is a form of reference that one website provides to another When sites link to your website this is seen as a backlink When you link to other websites they share in that backlink These links have two types Followed Links These links are crawled by search engines and can improve your rankings in the Search Engine Results Page SERP Nofollow Links There are links on the internet that instruct crawlers not to follow them known as “nofollow links These links contain a tag called “nofollow“ The nofollow links come from websites like Wikipedia You can use this free tool to check on your backlinks Good Domain Authority Score Sites with low authority typically have DA scores This is either a new website that haven t built many high quality links or an older site that haven t accumulated enough backlinks or has low quality links and poor online presence Smaller local businesses that have been focusing their attention on relevant specific keywords and their corresponding searches may rank well A domain authority of around is in fact very common for a website that has been around for quite some time and has acquired quality backlinks In my experience adding relevant content to your site is the best way for better rankings By targeting specific keywords using content silos and other SEO techniques A content silo is a method used to optimize search engine rankings through organizing site content around specific keywords It helps website owners rank higher for targeted phrases and will likely encourage more visitors to the site Basically when you create a silo structure you are grouping related and relevant content into distinct sections on your website This makes it easier for visitors to navigate and find what they need Domain Authority is a typical average domain authority score for websites that have been online for over several years and have many good quality backlinks Anything above DA is considered a high DA and DA is extremely high DA is considered world class and you can find these numbers with the giant tech companies With these big scores it s likely that you re already doing well and just need to keep doing what you re doing Follow your strategy and maintain the clarity of your brand online Please note the best way to increase your domain authority is to earn it It takes time so don t think that you can instantly make yourself more authoritative by buying links In fact this might do more damage than good However if you take your time creating the right content this will allow you to gradually increase your domain authority in 海外TECH DEV Community Learning Rust: Async Combinators https://dev.to/sylvainkerkour/learning-rust-async-combinators-h8j Learning Rust Async CombinatorsLast week we learned what are and how to use combinators Today we see how to use Rust s async combinators and how they can make your code more functional and clean You may be wondering what combinators have to do with async Well the Future and the Stream traits have two friends the FutureExt and the StreamExt traits Those traits add combinators to the Future and Stream types respectively This post is an excerpt from my book Black Hat RustGet off until Thursady November with the coupon B FutureExtthen calls a function returning a Future after the initial Future finished async fn compute a gt i async fn compute b a i gt i a let b compute a then compute b await b map converts a Future s output to a different type by calling a non async function async fn get port gt String fn parse port gt Result lt u Error gt let port Result lt u Error gt get port map parse port await flatten merges a Future of Future Future lt Output Future lt Output String gt gt for example into a simple Future Future lt Output String gt let nested future async async let f nested future flatten let forty two f await into stream converts a future into a single element stream let f async let stream f into stream You can find the other and in my experience less commonly used combinators for the FutureExt type online StreamExtAs we saw Streams are like async iterators and this is why you will find the same combinators such as filter fold for each map and so on Like Iterators Streams should be consumed to have any effect Additionally there are some specific combinators that can be used to process elements concurrently for each concurrent and buffer unordered As you will notice the difference between the two is that buffer unordered produces a Stream that needs to be consumed while for each concurrent actually consumes the Stream Here is a quick example ch snippets concurrent stream src main rsuse futures stream StreamExt use rand thread rng Rng use std time Duration tokio main flavor multi thread async fn main stream iter u for each concurrent number async move let mut rng thread rng let sleep ms u rng gen range tokio time sleep Duration from millis sleep ms await println number await cargo run release The lack of order of the printed numbers shows us that jobs are executed concurrently In async Rust Streams and their concurrent combinators replace worker pools in other languages Worker pools are commonly used to process jobs concurrently such as HTTP requests file hashing and so on But in Rust they are an anti pattern because their APIs often favor imperative programming mutable variables to accumulate the result of computation and thus may introduce subtle bugs Indeed the most common challenge of a worker pool is to collect back the result of the computation applied to the jobs There are ways to use Streams to replace worker pools and collect the result in an idiomatic and functional way Remember to always put an upper limit on the number of concurrent tasks Otherwise you may quickly exhaust the resources of your system and thus affect performance Using buffer unordered and collectRemember collect It can also be used on Streams to convert them to a collection ch tricoder src main rs Concurrent stream method Using buffer unordered collectlet subdomains Vec lt Subdomain gt stream iter subdomains into iter map subdomain ports scan ports ports concurrency subdomain buffer unordered subdomains concurrency collect await This is the more functional and idiomatic way to implement a worker pool in Rust Here our subdomains is the list of jobs to process It s then transformed into Futures holding port scanning tasks Those Futures are concurrently executed thanks to buffer unordered And the Stream is finally converted back to a Vec with collect await Using an Arc lt Mutex lt T gt gt ch tricoder src main rs Concurrent stream method Using an Arc lt Mutex lt T gt gt let res Arc lt Mutex lt Vec lt Subdomain gt gt gt Arc new Mutex new Vec new stream iter subdomains into iter for each concurrent subdomains concurrency subdomain let res res clone async move let subdomain ports scan ports ports concurrency subdomain await res lock await push subdomain await Using channelsch tricoder src ports rs Concurrent stream method using channelslet input tx input rx mpsc channel concurrency let output tx output rx mpsc channel concurrency tokio spawn async move for port in MOST COMMON PORTS let input tx send port await let input rx stream tokio stream wrappers ReceiverStream new input rx input rx stream for each concurrent concurrency port let subdomain subdomain clone let output tx output tx clone async move let port scan port amp subdomain domain port await if port is open let output tx send port await await close channeldrop output tx let output rx stream tokio stream wrappers ReceiverStream new output rx let open ports Vec lt Port gt output rx stream collect await Here we voluntarily complexified the example as the two channels one for queuing jobs in the Stream one for collecting results are not necessarily required One interesting thing to notice is the use of a generator tokio spawn async move for port in MOST COMMON PORTS let input tx send port await Why Because as you don t want unbounded concurrency you don t want unbounded channels it may put down your system under pressure But if the channel is bounded and the downstream system processes jobs slower than the generator it may block the latter and cause strange issues This is why we spawn the generator in its own tokio task so it can live its life in complete independence This post is
