lets begin xb Since the beginning of Mark of this year banano s giveaway funds shrinked by about going from billion down to a mere million ban Do you know what also went down by Banano s price since it s ATH of cent down to less than cent before the last pump And it was literally after coinex s listing which facilitated the selling of banano for usdt Coincidence I don t think so I know banano is meant to be freely distributed and with low to no barriers to entry But as an Argentinian this reminds me of one of the darkest goverments in Argentina s history that drove its economy s down the toilet peronism Peronism what a socialist political party which was characterized by a very strong welfare state policy giving away money houses etc which even though it seemed very fun and attractive at first it ended up flushing Argentina s future and economical prosperity down the toilet This was due to having an absolutely unsustainable system set up You see It may have been fun at first but very quickly the society became very very dependant on this welfare state which was not only unsustainable but also decentivized work and hindered growth why work when I may just get free stuff This is a known phenomena that any economist can explain and is the very reason why socialism failed around the globe and why we know capitalism is the best system so far xb Eventually due to the country having a central bank which could crank up money printing on demand ended up causing extremely high levels of inflation which did nothing but to make argentina one of the poorest countries on earth xb Now coming back to banano what does all of this have to do with peronism And what doesn t it mean to future s banano economy Banano is a cryptocurrency that has a limited supply this means the devs wont be able to manipulate is total supply by minting more in the future It also means that banano s high inflation will only persist for a very short period of time and given that there is no inflationary policy we are likely to continue expecting very high inflation which will probably continue driving its price down Banano s economy is also not really producing any sort of banking system or any system for that matter that could somewhat regulate it s circulating supply via some form of taxing and have that act in a way that incentivizes the growth and consumption of the banano economy Banano s current economy is unsustainable as people are continuously partaking in banano s contest only to gain banano which come from the dev funds These contests are unsustainable without the dev funds which would actually mean that banano s economy is prone to collapsing once the funds have been fully distributed And there is no real motivation for people to be giving away their own funds if they wont be able to later get them in any other way or giveaway The fact that banano will only be deflationary after all funds are distributed means that there will be an opportunity cost of spending banano why spend something that could be worth more in the future Deflation decentivizes consumption and leads to an economic stalling You may argue that deflation is good as it will drive it s price only up but you would be wrong Deflation would only cause the price to fluctuate in a downward trend as it s participants start slowly loosing interest Banano as well as nano would only end up functioning as a tool for transferring money instantly and feelessly for micro periods across borders and it wouldn t make any monetary sense to hold them Which could actually not make much sense as most people would be confortable paying a negligent fee in other crypto that may probably be less volatile and have a more sustainable economy It doesn t matter how instant feeless the coin is If it doesn t provide any sort of value to it s economy s participants there is no point in holding it expect for it being fun and the hype that could be the only determinant factor in temporarily driving its price up In fact I would expect banano s price to pump and dump after kucoin s listing as the devs will probably have to make some sort of arrangement with kucoin and give them some funds for them to take profit xb In contrast most successful cryptocurrencies have their own form of asset producing economy where the is an actual incentive to participate in it Bitcoin s unsustainable mining economy is an example of it of mining profits come from mining rewards not fees this is why it will be unsustainable once all BTC has been mined Ethereum is a protocol that allows the creation of an entire DeFi economy over it LUNA can be bonded or staked for profit both of which lead to economical incentive And the list goes on Even DOGE has it s own economy which actually has a very attractive inflation which incentivizes consumption and makes it s mining attractive as well xb Realizing all these things in the past few weeks have raised me a few concerns as i truly want this meme coin to succeed I believe that the devs should start applying very strict distribution policies that make banano s economy more sustainable by really really driving down the distributions amount And even limiting it to only F H rewards and actually removing it s logarithmic system to incentivize more power allocation for higher rewards This would not only contribute to the economy but also help provide more power to F H If this doesn t happen I would not expect this currency to grow on the very long term and sustain it s actual value growth With it s current socialist system people are only dumping their coins as soon as they receive into the market for profit Banano doesn t have any real intrinsic value it s existance isn t a consequence of debt or any kind of work as real money or bitcoin is There is no incentive to hold something that has a very high inflation And in the future in a deflationary enviroment there will not be much of an incetive to spend it This socialist system even hinders f h as there is not much of an incentive to spend energy in something that wont cover expenses at least I truly hope the devs take a careful read to this post and try to find a solution
