海外TECH	Engadget	Google says it thwarted North Korean cyberattacks in early 2022	https://www.engadget.com/google-says-it-thwarted-north-korean-cyberattacks-in-early-2022-181739881.html?src=rss	Google says it thwarted North Korean cyberattacks in early Google s Threat Analysis Group announced on Thursday that it had discovered a pair of North Korean hacking cadres going by the monikers Operation Dream Job and Operation AppleJeus in February that were leveraging a remote code execution exploit in the Chrome web browser nbsp The blackhatters reportedly targeted the US news media IT crypto and fintech industries with evidence of their attacks going back as far as January th though the Threat Analysis Group notes that organizations outside the US could have been targets as well quot We suspect that these groups work for the same entity with a shared supply chain hence the use of the same exploit kit but each operate with a different mission set and deploy different techniques quot the Google team wrote on Thursday quot It is possible that other North Korean government backed attackers have access to the same exploit kit quot Operation Dream Job targeted people across companies with fraudulent job offers from the likes of Disney and Oracle sent from accounts spoofed to look like they came from Indeed or ZipRecruiter Clicking on the link would launch a hidden iframe that would trigger the exploit nbsp Operation AppleJeus on the other hand targeted more than users in the cryptocurrency and fintech industries using the same exploit kit That effort involved quot compromising at least two legitimate fintech company websites and hosting hidden iframes to serve the exploit kit to visitors quot Google s security researchers found quot In other cases we observed fake websites ーalready set up to distribute trojanized cryptocurrency applications ーhosting iframes and pointing their visitors to the exploit kit quot quot The kit initially serves some heavily obfuscated javascript used to fingerprint the target system quot the team said quot This script collected all available client information such as the user agent resolution etc and then sent it back to the exploitation server If a set of unknown requirements were met the client would be served a Chrome RCE exploit and some additional javascript If the RCE was successful the javascript would request the next stage referenced within the script as SBX a common acronym for Sandbox Escape quot The Google security group discovered the activity on February th and had patched it by February th The company has added all identified websites and domains to its Safe Browsing database as well as notified all of the targeted Gmail and Workspace users about the attempts nbsp	2022-03-24 18:17:39

achievable regardless of your background Believing  I found inspiration in reading the Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect All in One Exam Guide by The Certs Guy Here he states that failing an exam may be part of one s journey to becoming Google Cloud certified This helped me accept the potential of failure and view it as an opportunity to go deeper and strengthen my confidence around unfamiliar topics Now that I understood that failure was an option my concerns surrounding a passing score on the first time lessened It was time to pave my way toward Google Cloud certification A Solid Methodology  I divided the readiness content into manageable pieces and created a study plan See in my case I didn t have much experience in some of the technologies listed in the exam guides such as computer networking or Kubernetes I had to learn the fundamental underlying computer technology concepts for each topic before I even started studying it at the next level My approach was to first learn the basic computer concepts and then to study the topics in the cloud context Forming these connections helped me grasp the topic at the certification level over time I kept applying this approach to learning until I felt comfortable with all of the topics listed on the exam guides  Riding the Momentum  Passing theProfessional Cloud Architect certification granted me two things that were instrumental to achieving three additional certifications the certainty that “I could do it and the understanding of key cloud solutions I was also fascinated by learning and because I had established a solid rhythm and discipline I decided to ride the wave and pursue the Profesional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification My third certification was the Professional Cloud Network Engineer a fundamental piece when building solid computer systems Lastly I wanted to learn how to enable people to make decisions and take actions based on intelligent and holistic insights derived from massive amounts of data The Professional Data Engineer certification was my path for it   Q What would you say is the biggest impact that achieving certification has had on your life A Achieving Google Cloud certifications has fundamentally changed my professional life Believe me a certification will take your career to the next level The personal benefit was unexpected and it is changing my life I discovered the intoxicating feeling of inspiring and helping others and I am chasing it I am writing this blog telling my story and hoping it will help at least one person I also
