How to change Material UI components to match your app x s design Part OverviewMaterial UI components are designed to follow Google s Material Design guidelines and will look consistent across different platforms Sometimes however you may want to adjust the colors of some elements to match your app s design or create an effect that doesn t have an obvious Material Design equivalent In these cases it s often helpful to customize the components in some way In this post we ll walk through some common ways of changing the way Material UI components look on the Website So This will be Part where I tell you about the sx prop Actually I myself don t know much about it cuz I haven t used MUI v very much I used to use the styled Component in V But when v came I never thought of changing the MUI Component I Just Copy and paste it or look for some online help if stuck anywhere WhyWe can still use the Styled Components then why learn all this Switching context wastes time When you define the Styled Components you have Switched from where you have defined them to where you have used them Naming things is hard We all have gone through this problem of thinking of the right Selector Name But while using the System Styles we don t have to care about it The sx PropThe sx prop is a shortcut for defining a custom style that has access to the theme ImplementationThe sx prop can be used with Core ComponentBox Renders as div Custom Component Usage Using some Short Hands m marginml margin leftmr margin rightmb margin bottommt margin topThe same goes for Padding also p pl pr pb pt lt Box sx p By default theme spacing is px mt So Margin top will be px mb gt Setting Breakpoints lt Box sx width xs Width at different breakpoints sm equivalent to px md lg xl p xs equivalent to px md equivalent to px gt As you can see we can easily define the width of the Div at different breakpoints using the sx props We can also skip some Breakpoints by using the null value Using Pseudo selectors amp Nested Selectors lt Box sx hover pseudo Selector boxShadow amp container title Nested Selector border equivalent to px solid black gt Final ThoughtsWhen it comes to design there are a lot of ways to customize Material UI components You can use the built in options add your own CSS or even override the styles completely The best way to figure out what works for you is to experiment and see what looks best in your app With a little bit of effort you can make Material UI fit any design I know I haven t covered so much but in the next post I will cover up Correct me in the Comment if I have said something incorrect I am also learning this |

How to boot from iso file using GRUB amp internal HDD without external USB CD I just received my new System s Lemp pro and even though I love Pop OS I prefer to use Arch btw but…I didn t have an external USB drive that will use me as installation media so… Creating PartitionI have two internal hard drives and I m going to shrink my secondary one to allocate more space for a new partition you can skip this step in case you have some available memory Open Disks and resize your partitionI Choose to leave GB my internal partitionin the free space create a new ext and name it as you want Copying the ISO filesstep one copy the iso files to the new disk that you just created step two None Preparing the datain the next and last step we will need to configure our grub and for this we will need to collect a few pieces of data your iso file hdd number you can run lsblk grep disk to list your hard drives dev hda refers to the first IDE hard drive dev sda refers to the first SCSI or SATA hard drive If you use a NMVe SSD it might be named as dev nvmen dev nvmen and so on But in GRUB the first hard drive is always referred to as hd no matter what the interface type isyour iso file partition number you can run the following command sudo parted l and locate your iso s files partition numberyour setup s efi filesbrowse trough your iso files you can do it by mount your iso or open it an archive manager and locate your desired linuz efi file and image filefor example Ubuntu setup casper vmlinuz and casper initrdArch setup arch boot x vmlinuz linux and arch boot x initramfs linux Configuring GRUBuse your favorite text editor to add the following line to your custom configuration file sudo vi etc grub d custom if the file doesn t exists etc grub d custom and update grub executable install please install grub disk and add the following lines menuentry menu entry name insmod ext set isopartition hd hdd number partition number set isofile iso file path relative to hdd loopback loop hd hdd number partition number isofile linux loop iso s vm linuz efi file path img dev dev disk by uuid isouuid img loop isofile initrd loop iso s ram memory image file path working example Arch linux menuentry archlinux x iso insmod ext set isopartition hd set isofile iso archlinux x iso loopback loop hd isofile linux loop arch boot x vmlinuz linux img dev dev disk by uuid isouuid img loop isofile initrd loop arch boot x initramfs linux img Ubuntu menuentry ubuntu desktop amd iso insmod ext set isofile iso ubuntu desktop amd iso loopback loop hd isofile linux loop casper vmlinuz boot casper iso scan filename isofile quiet noeject noprompt splash initrd loop casper initrd menuentry your GRUB menu entry name it as you like insmod inserts a module Since the ISO file is stored in ext partition he ext module is needed set isofile Specify that path of your ISO image fileloopback Mount the ISO file hd means the first hard drive in the computer and means the ISO file is stored on the th disk partition The linux command loads a Linux kernel from the specified path casper vmlinuz efi is the linux kernel inside the Ubuntu ISO image initrd initrd command loads an initial ramdisk from the specified path It can only be used after the linux command has been run The initial ramdisk is a minimal root file system mounted to the RAM casper initrd lz is the initrd file inside the Ubuntu ISO image next all you need to do is to run the following command sudo update grub and reboot All done |
